A pair of very beautiful antique Cherubs/Cupids painted by this listed and well collected British Artist. His works pass through the major London auction houses and he exhibited at the Royal Academy London.. They are framed in very elaborate gold gilt plaster frames which we believe to be original.
Both in good condition, professionally cleaned and re-varnished. Ready to hang original frames

Charles Augustus H. Lutyens 1829-1915:
He exhibited between 1861 and 1903, showing at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, British Institution, Grosvenor Gallery, Dudley Gallery, Royal Hibernian Academy, Manchester City Art Gallery and the Society of British Artists, which elected James Whistler its President in 1886. He was a member of the Burlington Fine Arts Society and supported Whistler when he was expelled in 1867.
