An almost typical seaside genre Stafford, all the joy of a Summer day beside the sea. In this picture of the tiny Cornish harbour of Mousehole (pronounced mowzle), are some of the best loved characters that appear in Stafford paintings combined with the quintessetial fishing boats that serve as a reminder that although essentially a holiday scene, the Cornish fishing villages are, as has always been, a working environment.
