Carin Palcer was born in 1966 in Vienna, Austria, and studied at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna, and later at F.I.D.M. Design and Marketing College, Los Angeles. Palcer is convinced that each colour gives off its own energy, and that this energy has healing powers. She combines various forms into a kind of algorithm: a sun can be seen to rise, reach its Zenith and set again. In these combinations, pure forms seem to acquire a life of their own. A sense of spirituality is created in her art that has a Zen like quality about it. A circle can be used to symbolize Mother Earth or the planet Mercury. Gold can evoke a spiritual search for divine, non created light.
Pole Position is a richly painted abstract, drawing on Palcers palette of meaningful colours.
