Born in Denbighshire, Wales in 1950. Keith has exhibited extensively and received justifiable acclaim. He has twice received the Gold Medal for Fine Art at The Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales and in 1992 was elected a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy at the invitation of Sir Kyffin Williams. In 1988 and 1992 he designed commemoration stamps for the Royal Mail. Today Bowen is mainly painting in oils, thus his beautiful pastels are becoming even more desirable. Whichever medium he uses, however, the paintings are recognisably his. “It is not a style,” he stresses. “I don’t strive for a particular style. Drawing is handwriting, and what you see is my handwriting.”
